OBJECTIVE

A combined output of a magazine and music poster to show the focus on experimental typography with a mixture of different materials and media.

 

SOLUTION

The initial process was to scan an old magazine article and redesign it. It sounds simple but the challenge was to use the same images

and type used in the article. The music poster project’s main aim was to pick a song and collect all of the elements, and materials from various media like cloth, jewels, paper, water, smoke, fire, and dust. I tried photographing them using many different numbers of type compositions on the transparency film compositions which should convey the mood of the chosen song. Using the song related type compositions on a film and projecting them on a wall to photograph was the key.
